The islamia university of bahawalpur is held near the university chowk bahawalpur.It has many departments physics, chemistry, math, pharmacy, engineering, social science, business , information technology, statistics , alternative meidicine etc. According to the research of HEC universities , the currently rank of is 13. The big facility of islamia university of bahawalpur is that Wi-fi internet is available in all departments. The wi-fi internet is also available in all (girls,boys) hostals. Every one like teacher ,students , staff have freedome to use internet in 24 hour.All the lebortries is air condirioner. The main campus of islamia university of bahawalpur known as baghdad campus is away from the old campus so 40 buses are use as a transport. It is the big advantage for the students, teachers and staff.
In order to provide oppertunities of higher education to the youth at the door step, two campuses were established at Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar in 2005. Initially, department of managment science and computer science & information technology were established for which responce was very encouraging. The number of departments at Bahawalnagar and rahim yar khan campuses have insreased to seven and six respectively.
